Kaila Devi Temple is one of the most revered Shakti temples in this part of Rajasthan, drawing lakhs of devotees, especially during the annual Kaila Devi Fair. For pilgrims travelling from Agra, the journey is longer than the Braj temples but very doable in a day — or as a more relaxed two-day trip if you're travelling with elderly family members.
We run this route regularly with a fixed fare confirmed on WhatsApp.
Kaila Devi Temple stands on the banks of the Kalisil river, about 23 km from Karauli town in eastern Rajasthan — approximately 165–175 km from Agra. By private taxi, the route runs via Fatehpur Sikri, the Bharatpur bypass, and Hindaun, taking about 3.5 to 4 hours each way. Most of the route is decent highway; the final stretch into the temple town is where an experienced local driver makes a real difference.
The famous Kaila Devi Fair takes place during Chaitra Navratri, usually falling in March–April. The temple is also very busy during Sharad Navratri (September–October). During these windows, roads near the temple are diverted and the walk from parking to the temple gets considerably longer. If you're travelling during either Navratri, book your cab at least 3–5 days in advance, take the earliest possible start, and carry water.
Don't be confused by the spelling variations — Kaila Devi, Kailadevi, and Kela Devi Mata Mandir all refer to the same temple, and Karauli is also commonly written as Karoli. Whichever spelling you searched to find this guide, you're in the right place.

Yes. With a 5:00 AM pickup you reach the temple by around 9:00 AM, get unhurried darshan plus an optional stop at Karauli's Madan Mohan Ji Temple, and are back in Agra by 7:00–8:00 PM.
